It's official. I've officially registered for the Lincoln 1/2 Marathon in May AND the Reykjavki 1/2 Marathon in August AND I started training today. Two miles, it wasn't much, but it is a start in the right direction.
I was doing relaly well with my running after the first of the year and then I fell off the wagon. Now it's time to catch up for some of the lost time. AND I also need to start training on my bike as I'm signed up for MS Bike at the end of May.
Exercise Events for 2009 - the Big ones (or potential big ones) in no particular order
Lincoln 1/2 Marathon
MS Bike - Omaha to Lincoln and back
Kool Aide Ride - Hastings, NE
Pieathalon - Iowa
Wabash to Missouri and Back - Iowa
Reykjavik 1/2 Marathon - Iceland
The 2-2-2 to Malvern (it includes a fabulous breakfast)
Corporate Cup 6M
So, as you can see from the above list, I have some serious exercise habits to develop in the next few weeks. And, hopefully the good habits will stay with me.
