I've had two sticky notes sitting on my desk at work for a significant period of time.
They are not perfectly penned. More just "chicken scratch" at the discovery of a quote, or two, that reflect great words to live by. Oddly, or not, they are both quotes from Oscar Wilde. I don't know much about Mr. Wilde, but I think that I am going to have to do some reading, researching and pondering.
In the meantime, here are the two quotes as food for thought.
"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most peole just exist."
"Be yourself. Everyone else is taken."
The quotes also remind me of recent discussions I've had with others and inside my brain about how life is fragile and short and that most importantly we need to live each day to the fullest. Why do tomorrow, what you can do today? If you wait, the moment might not be their in the end. Don't sweat the small stuff, focus in on what is really important to you. Embrace who you are and who you really want to be as "keeping up with the Jone's" shouldn't be your definition of self.
Enough ramblings . . . back to work.
