It's evolving

It's always interesting to see how something evolves, changes and grows.

I've been working on this painting for a while.  It's not done yet, but here is images of it from current to previous versions.  We'll see how it continues to develop.  I need more separation between the posie band and the upper color.

Why the change to posies vs the contemporary splash? I just didn't like it.  It didn't seem like me and it felt like it had an awkward flow of pattern.

This version had lots of colorful energy.  But it was only the base layer.  I wanted to try something new and wanted to work with my pallet knife and geometry.

Underneath this was a picture of a sun.  It wasn't working.  I wish I could have saved the background, which. Could have, but I didn't.  One thing nice about painting is that you can keep going forward.  But you can't go back, and you just have to be ok with that.

Prior to that it was a very ugly cupcake. The good news in that statement is that I didn't paint the cup cake.  It was pre-printed on it and in the clearance aisle at the craft store.
