Be

I've been thinking a lot about the word "be" and it's meaning and empowerment in my life.

I have mantras that run through my brain as a constant reminder of who I am and who I want to "be"

Be. . .

Strong
Passionate
Compassionate
Loving
A good friend
An artist
Smart
Beautiful
Giving
An Explorer
Fit
Forgiving

The list can go on and on, and it does.  I use it to encourage myself to pursue being me.

I'm contemplating a small tattoo with these two simple letters in cursive to further remind me.  Or maybe a stamped bracelet?

This weekend I stopped by Smiling Turtle Art Spot in Omaha, Nebraska and found this wonderful art piece by Debi Kibbee.  It HAD to come home with me.  What a wonderful way to remind me to be me in a world that often drives for conformity.

Be you, and I will be . . . Me.
