Days 1 & 2: Hibernate and Create

Day 1: Painting day.   This painting has been sitting in my studio for WAY to long waiting for inspiration or a deadline.  I really didn't want to work on , but it seemed fitting to take on this "challenge" for the beginning of my 31 Days of Creativity.

Here is painting pre-challenge.

Here is "Building a Sunshine" in its next phase.  I like the direction it is going, but need to keep working on it.  Building the layers and adding the details.

Day 2:
Jewelry day and a new found obsession for binge watching Downton Abbey.

This piece resulted from up-cycling a broken necklace a coworker gave me by adding the focal pendant I created from a stamped brass piece and solder.  I also added additional Czech glass and Swarovski.  I am normally drawn to natural colors, but I love the pop of magenta.

I am not only excited about things I've been working on day 1 & 2, but it is awesome to see others post their creativity too.  Make sure you search for the hashtag #hibernateandcreate on Instagram and Facebook where you can see quilting, stitching, photography, sewing, writing and artisanal soda making!  And the geography is stretching from east coast in Massachusetts to west coast in Washington!

Tomorrow I am going to work on putting together the prize for week 1.

Hours of fun!
